Our Affiliate Model

Affiliate revenue does not influence our rankings. The rankings on every page of Hudson Casino are produced by the editorial methodology we publish on our How We Rate page, which weighs withdrawal speed (30%), bonus terms (20%), customer support quality (20%), mobile experience (15%), and game library (15%). Commission rates are not an input to those scores. We do not list an operator in our rankings unless it passes our editorial bar regardless of commission, and we do not promote an operator that fails our editorial bar regardless of how high a commission it offers.
How We Disclose Affiliate Relationships
We use industry-standard affiliate-link attributes — rel="nofollow sponsored noopener" — on every link to a casino operator. This is the disclosure mechanism Google requires for affiliate links and the one Canadian Competition Bureau guidelines endorse for affiliate content. Where a reader hovers over a "Visit Casino" button on a Hudson Casino page and looks at the URL, they will see the operator's domain and the affiliate-tracking parameter (typically ?payload= or equivalent) — we do not obscure or shorten links to hide the affiliate nature.
We disclose our overall affiliate relationship in two additional places: this page (linked from the footer of every page on the site) and a short affiliate-disclosure note in the footer of every money page that includes ranked operators. We do not require readers to "click here for disclosure" or hide the relationship in fine print. We believe the affiliate model is legitimate and defensible when it is paired with editorial independence, and we operate accordingly.
Editorial Independence
Hudson Casino is published by a four-person editorial team. No operator has the right to review, approve, or modify our coverage before publication. No operator has the right to require us to remove negative coverage or moderate critical findings. We have removed operators from our rankings, dropped operators in our rankings, and added warning sections to operator pages based on testing findings; we have never done so at an operator's request and we have never withheld a negative finding because of a commercial relationship.
Our internal editorial protocol requires that all four members of our team (Maddie Roy, Dev Kapoor, Cam Whitfield, Ada Okafor) maintain personal accounts at every operator we rank, fund those accounts with personal money, and test operations from those accounts. We do not use operator-provided test accounts, do not accept promotional cash from operators, and do not have any operator funding our editorial budget directly. Our budget comes from affiliate revenue paid to Hudson Casino Editorial on standard commercial terms.
Our Testing Methodology
Every operator we rank has been deposited at and cashed out from by our editorial team within the past 90 days. Deposit and withdrawal records are logged with timestamps. Our live-tested withdrawal log on the homepage and on /instant-withdrawal-casinos/ is a sample from those records — every row is a real transaction from a real verified account, not a marketing claim from the operator.
When we publish a wagering requirement, a payout speed, a license number, or any other operational fact about an operator, we have either tested it directly or verified it against the operator's published terms at the time of writing. We disclose the "last tested" date on every money page. If you find a discrepancy between our coverage and an operator's current terms, please email editorial@thehealthgap.ca with "Correction" in the subject line.
Conflict of Interest Policy
No member of the Hudson Casino editorial team holds equity, options, employment, or contracted services with any casino operator we cover. None of us serve on the board of any operator. None of us accept gifts, sponsored trips, or any consideration beyond standard affiliate commissions paid through documented commercial channels.
If a personal conflict of interest arises — for example, if a family member of one of our editors joins an operator we cover — the affected editor recuses themselves from that operator's coverage and another team member takes over. Recusal events are logged in our internal records and made available to readers on request.
Retraction and Correction Policy
If we publish a factual error and a reader, an operator, or our own review finds it, we correct the error promptly. Material corrections (those that affect rankings, bonus terms, or operational facts a reader would rely on before depositing) are documented on our Changelog page with the date of the correction, the previous statement, the corrected statement, and the source. Material corrections also appear in the article body for at least 30 days as a "Correction" callout above the affected section.
Non-material corrections (typos, minor formatting, broken internal links) are silent. We do not log every typo correction.
Sponsored Content Policy
Hudson Casino does not publish sponsored content. We do not accept paid placements, paid reviews, paid rankings, or paid mentions. Every editorial page on the site is editorial. We may publish operator-supplied promotional codes or bonus information in our rankings, but the inclusion of an operator and the placement of an operator in any ranking is editorial, not paid.
If we ever change this policy and begin accepting any form of sponsored content, we will disclose the change prominently on this page and label all sponsored content with a clear "Sponsored" marker.
